SCRAPBOOKIN IS FUN

my earliest memory of a scrapbook is of my 1st standard. we had to make a scrapbook by stickin pictures collected durin various activities throughout the year. i never thought of it again until around 2 weeks ago. i was scratchin my head on a gift for a friend. i first thought of an album of this friend with snaps of his with some of his closest friends.. but cos this was one person who was never around at the time of the "Clicks", i had a tough time finding snaps. off late i resort to the net for everything. i searched for gift ideas on the net. came across scrapbooks on many a site. bingo i finally got ma perfect gift!! while it had been tough to find his snaps, there were enough snaps of his frens around. thanks to orkut, facebook, n the overflow of digicams n cam cells, n enthusiastic frens who like to preserve memories in pixels finding snaps wasn all that difficult. ma first stop was a stationery shop, i brought a scrapbook, couple o colours, n pens etc. the plan was to...

its the 3rd last day of the first month of new year n i havent penned a post... firstly happy new year! its surely been a long time.. no reasons.. i have jus been out of things to write. i have tried to be busy, but most of the time i have been jobless with my to-do list growing longer by the day. just done with "Gone with the wind" (mus hav heard abt the muv).. despite of the book being thick i chose to pick it up right at the end of ma hols... the book centres around "Scarlett O Hara"... the story takes us from her early teens to her 30s. her rapid adaption to changing times, evolving through them, and finally her discovery of herself... i liked the book, but i stil dunno y. there are times when we do things without seeking an opinion from our conscience. hush voices tat keep speakin in our ears guiding us through right n wrong. the reasons are many. we soothe ourselves by sayin the end justifies the means.. we leave so much for tomorrow.. even our conscience. ...

a graduation speech to live by

.... this article was in a column in the chicago tribune written by Mary Schmich. got this frm here Ladies and gentlemen of the class of '97: Wear sunscreen. If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will dispense this advice now. Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth . Oh, never mind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they've faded. But trust me, in 20 years, you'll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked. You are not as fat as you imagine. Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but known that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that n...
