results out today! not a pretty enthu moment in the lives of most. Engg teaches u many things, one of them is to get used to bad results.... yeah results are alwes bad! even the topper will be cribbin abt sending papers for reval ( so tat abt sums up how things are !!!!!)
parents are supposed to be the least confused people, bt more often than not, they are more confused than us. they speak about letting people be who they are, growth of personality, nurturing interests and not only academics.... bt we indians hav yet to grow out of the box. we have yet to accept that academics are not the most impt things in life. on one side we find our parents speaking proudly abt einstein n the like (who were supposedly duds at academics in school) and on the other hand they lay all emphasis in the world on academics.
everyone wants a topper in the house, for a change i dont want to be a topper, can u accept that?
this whole situ reminds me of amir khans dialogue from "taare zamin par". everyone wants a winning horse in their house.
a lifetime has several phases in it. as you move from one phase to another, you change a lot of things, the way u act, the way u percieve things, ur priorities, commitments. very often u keep wondering "what i was" and "what i am"
sometimes we are made into people that we arent actually supposed to be. we are made into demigods, and larger than life figures
our achievements and accomplishments blown out of proportion to an extent tat v sometimes wonder as to if it is indeed us!
its nice to b made a demigod, bt not at the cost of ur identity.
for some time give capabilities n capacities a break,
for some time can we just be allowed to "live" ?
to live free from prejudiced notions and premonitions.
for some time can u let the stallion free in open meadows and not in some race?
